All our founders have their roots in the land mobile business from their careers at Motorola. Each spent more than 20 years in engineering and executive capacities prior to founding Express Radio. This background provides a common framework for knowing the difference between what should work and what REALLY works, while operating within our mission statement to provide our Customers with affordable and reliable communications.

Meet Our Executive Team

TOM HERBERT

Tom Herbert, President, has spent more than 30 years providing communications solutions for customers in the United States and abroad for Motorola. Tom’s background in wireless communications includes customers such as Federal Express, United Parcel Service, Norfolk Southern Railroad, Union Pacific Railroad, White House Communications Agency, U.S. Department of Defense, Policia Nacional de Colombia, and Carabineros de Chile.

STEVE FLAUGHER

Steve Flaugher, Vice President/Engineering Manager, held various engineering and manufacturing positions during his 12 years at Motorola. He was responsible for manufacturing engineering of the MX300 portable radio and for introduction of the STX trunked portable. Prior to joining Express Radio, he was part of the start-up team at Noise Cancellation Technology as Director of Engineering. One of his many accomplishments at Express Radio has been the design and installation of communications systems, internet, and IP phones for several large Condo/hotels in Downtown Fort Lauderdale and Miami as well as Palm Beach. In addition he has become the preferred vendor for sales, engineering and installation of one of the largest Passenger Ship Companies in South Florida.
